Since our last post on 20th May 2024 we have been working hard to address the questions and concerns raised by the Independent Examiner. In June we decided to engage the services of a Planning Professional Colin Wilkinson of PLAN-IT X to assist us with this task. Mr Wilkinson has now produced two technical reports for us entitled Housing Discussion Paper September 2024 and Retail Discussion Paper September 2024. These reports can be seen in the Documents section of this website. The Town Council has accepted all of Mr Wilkinson’s recommendations in these two reports and has now asked AECOM to examine the impact of these by way of an addendum to the Strategic Environmental Assessment report that they previously prepared for us. It is expected that this process will take approximately four weeks at which time the matter will be considered further by the Town Council.
